彩虹泉生態公園 是 到紐西蘭的遊客 必 參觀 的景點.

 在彩虹泉生態動物園您可以近距離觀賞 : 紐西蘭的國鳥~奇異鳥( Kiwi )、

彩虹鱒魚 (Rainbow Trout )、

 及紐西蘭獨有的飛禽鳥類、和紐西蘭特有的植物生態.

~~ 紐西蘭 國寶級& 瀕臨絕種的奇異鳥 (Kiwi),  在園內特闢一館 培養.

 鷸鴕（Kiwi），又譯為幾維鳥、奇異鳥、奇威鳥，泛指幾維科（Apterygidae）下的鳥，

幾維屬（Apteryx）是幾維科唯一的屬，是紐西蘭 的特產，也是紐西蘭的國鳥 及象徵，

「幾維鳥」因其尖銳的叫聲「keee-weee」而得名。

在古老的紐西蘭的南北兩島上，因為沒有走獸和蛇，

鳥類不必逃避，地面上的食物豐富，飛翔能力逐漸退化。

這裡分布著很多本地特有的鳥類，而且，不少是無翼鳥 ，因此，紐西蘭有無翼鳥故鄉的稱號，

但大多無翼鳥在近幾百年人類登陸後滅絕了，僅恐鳥 就有15種滅絕。

~~ 白天鵝 :  在西元1866 年 自英國引進紐西蘭,  可長至20 公斤 翅膀張開可達 2.7 米,

     領域性很強,  若太靠近 牠, 牠會採取攻擊行動  !

~~ 彩虹池:  乾淨的泉水溫度保持在 12  C ( 攝氏 12 度  ) 來養殖  彩虹 鳟 魚 ,

 彩虹 鳟 魚 長大 後可經由 Kaiakuri  溪流 自由 出入  到 Rotorua  湖.

停留 在 池子裡的 鳟 魚 會由 管理員及遊客 那裡 取得食物.

The Mute Swan (Cygnus olor) is a species of swan , and thus a member of the duck , goose  and swan  family Anatidae .

It is native to much of Europe  and Asia , and (as a rare winter visitor) the far north of Africa . It is also an introduced species  in North America , Australasia  and southern Africa.

 The name 'mute' derives from it being less vocal than other swan  species.^{[2] [3] [4]}  Measuring 125 to 170 centimetres (49 to 67 in) in length, this large swan is wholly white in plumage with an orange bill bordered with black. It is recognisable by its pronounced knob atop the bill.
